SILVER SERVICE® associates meeting

Current Chairman, Alvin Richer, directed the extensive growth of the company, becoming the CEO in 1985 and Chairman of the Board in 1989. In 1986 at the first annual strategic planning meeting, the name SILVER SERVICE® and CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS OUR ONLY POLICY® was introduced to describe our service to our customers.

Since that time, Arnold Machinery has continued to expand, diversify and grow. GID Division expanded their territory into Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas with the purchase of S&W Farm Equipment in Portland, Oregon in 2000 and Countryside Marketing in Billings, Montana in 2003. In 2006, R. M. Wade farm implement distributor was acquired and GID moved from Woodburn to a larger facility in Portland.

Flagstaff, Arizona MH moved into a new facility in 2000, becoming a full service branch.

Representation of the Volvo line in all of Arnold's C&ME Division's territories was completed with the purchase of the Volvo distributorship in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2001. In 2005, the Hitachi Mining Products sales territory was expanded into the entire states of Montana and Wyoming, and a C&ME branch was added in Gillette, Wyoming.

In 2004, Arnold Machinery reached a milestone by celebrating its 75th year of continuous operation.

A C&ME and MH branch were added in St. George, Utah in 2006 and in the same year, the MH facility in Twin Falls, Idaho was expanded to include the C&ME Division.

Also in 2006, the Hyster distributorship in Denver, Colorado - MHECO - was purchased, expanding our MH territory to include the entire state of Colorado and Wyoming. The facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado was replaced with a new one in 2007, and a new building to house the Loveland, Colorado branch is due for completion in spring of 2008.

In 2007 the Tucson, Arizona branch building was replaced with a new facility to house the existing MH branch and expanded to include the addition of the C&ME Division.

The C&ME Division was split into two separate divisions in July, 2007 - Construction Equipment Division and Mining Equipment Divisions. There are now four operating Divisions - Construction Equipment Division, Mining Equipment Division, Material Handling Equipment Division, and General Implement Distributors Division.

Today, Arnold Machinery stands at the threshold of the future, prepared to face the on-coming decades with the same enthusiasm, optimism, and dedication to customer satisfaction on which our reputation has been built. Our leadership is strong, our finances sound, our relationship with our customers and manufacturers is resolute, and our associates are motivated and dedicated.
